Is it really free / pay-once?
Nearwater and Miles Upstream are free forever — no ads, no subscription, no in-app purchases. Our other apps are pay-once: one price, yours to keep.
Do you collect my data?
No. The apps on this page collect no personal data and ship with Apple's "Data Not Collected" label. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
Do the safety apps tell me whether it's safe?
No — and that's on purpose. Nearwater and Miles Upstream never give a go/no-go verdict. They show official conditions from sources like the National Weather Service and USGS, with timestamps, and let you make your own call.
Something looks wrong in the data. What do I do?
Email us at hello@pulsepauselab.com with the app name, the place, and what you saw — and a screenshot if you can grab one. A screenshot shows us the exact reading and timestamp, which makes it much faster to track down. For the safety apps especially, we want to know.
Can I request a feature?
